Does LooseLay need adhesive?

Do not assume the whole installation is adhesive-free. Karndean's LooseLay installation guidance specifies fixing measures according to the room, edges, traffic and conditions. These can include perimeter or grid fixing, or a full adhesive spread. Ask your installer to confirm the appropriate current guidance and fixing product for your exact floor.

Compare the floor, not just the colour

Check the product code, plank or tile size, wear layer and box coverage. A longboard design and another LooseLay format may need different quantities even when the room area is the same. The base must meet the manufacturer's preparation requirements; the loose-lay name does not remove the need for moisture, flatness or heating checks.

Plan samples and whole packs

Request samples to compare finishes at home. Agree the layout and allowance, then use the selected pack coverage with our LVT measuring guide. Include preparation, any required fixing materials, fitting and delivery in the overall budget.
