How the wastage allowance works
Cutting allowance depends on the room shape, flooring dimensions and laying pattern. The percentages above are selectable planning examples, not a universal industry standard. Ask your installer to confirm the layout and required allowance. The calculator rounds the resulting area up to whole packs when pack coverage is entered. It does not check roll widths, pattern repeats, subfloor suitability or installation quantities.
