Karndean Knight Tile vs Style LVT: A Buying Comparison

Compare Style LVT, our own-brand flooring, with Karndean Knight Tile glue-down by the design you want, the exact specification and the current total project price. Both are worth considering, but a shared headline measurement does not prove that two floors have identical construction, performance or warranty cover.

When to shortlist Style LVT

Start with Style if you are open to an own-brand option and want to compare its available designs and current supply price against a named-brand floor. Order a sample in the tones you like, then look at the product's dimensions, pack coverage, room suitability and installation requirements.

If you want a herringbone layout, compare the separate Style Parquet range. Do not assume a straight-plank product is the same size or is intended for the same pattern.

When to shortlist Karndean Knight Tile

Start with Knight Tile when you want a particular Karndean design or product code, or your project's agreed specification names that product. Compare the actual colour, texture and format rather than assuming another oak-effect floor will be an exact match.

As a specific example, Karndean lists Natural Studio Oak KP151 as a 2.0mm glue-down plank with a 0.3mm wear layer and 915mm × 152mm dimensions. Use the current specification for the exact Knight Tile and Style products you are comparing; do not carry one product's figures across the entire range.

What to compare side by side

  • Design: colour in your room, grain detail, texture, bevel and pattern variation.
  • Format: plank or tile dimensions and whether the product supports your intended layout.
  • Specification: overall thickness, wear layer, use classification and relevant technical information.
  • Installation: substrate requirements, compatible preparation and adhesive, and any heating restrictions.
  • Warranty: the written terms for that product, including what is covered, exclusions and installation conditions.
  • Order: pack coverage, whole-pack quantity, current availability, delivery and the final price.

Wear-layer thickness is one useful comparison point, not a complete test of scratch resistance, expected lifespan or overall quality. This guide does not claim independent laboratory testing of the two ranges.

Compare today's price, not an old saving claim

Use the live product prices for your selected designs. Calculate the whole-pack quantity after your fitter confirms the area and cutting allowance, then add preparation, adhesive, labour, trims and delivery. This is more useful than a fixed claim that one brand is always half the price.

For a simple arithmetic example, a confirmed £5/m² supply-price difference over 24m² of ordered flooring equals £120 before any other differences in the quote. That is an illustration, not a current price or promised saving for either range.

Installation and future repairs

Have the installer check the approved system for each selected product. Do not assume every glue-down LVT uses the same adhesive in every room. The existing base, heating and other site conditions still matter. See our glue-down installation checklist.

If retaining spare material is important, agree a suitable quantity before ordering. Neither brand's future colour availability should be assumed. Keep the product code, batch details and purchase information with your records.
