Burmatex Arctic Dark Horizon Carpet Plank

Burmatex Arctic in Dark Horizon is a 25 x 100cm modular carpet plank for commercial spaces. A Class 33 heavy commercial floor with multilevel loop pile construction and Burmatex BioBase recycled backing, it suits offices, hallways and other high-traffic areas. Supplied 4.5 m2 (18 planks) per box.

About Burmatex Arctic

Burmatex Arctic carpet planks are built for contract and commercial flooring. Combined with the unique BioBase recycled backing, Arctic is carbon neutral with a GWP of 3.22 kg CO2 eq, and the 25 x 100cm plank format lets you create linear, brick-bond and herringbone layouts that a square tile cannot. As contract flooring the planks can be loose laid or fully bonded, and individual Dark Horizon planks lift out for replacement.

Installation

Loose-lay or fully bond these carpet planks over a clean, smooth, level subfloor using carpet-tile tackifier or releasable adhesive. Plan the plank direction before you start and mix planks from several boxes as you lay to blend any shade variation.

Why Carpet Tiles for Commercial Spaces?

Carpet tiles allow individual damaged or stained tiles to be lifted and replaced without disturbing the whole floor, a practical advantage in offices, retail, and healthcare settings where downtime is costly. Most ranges can also be installed in mixed orientations (quarter-turn or random lay) to reduce visible seam lines.
