What is LVT flooring?
LVT is a multi-layer vinyl floor topped with a photographic design layer and a clear protective wear layer. That construction is what lets it mimic oak, herringbone parquet, slate or marble convincingly while shrugging off scratches and spills. Glue-down vs click (SPC) — which do I need?
There are two ways LVT fits. Glue-down planks and tiles are bonded to the subfloor for the thinnest, most seamless finish — the designer's choice, and ideal over solid, level subfloors. Click (SPC/rigid core) planks lock together as a floating floor over a thin underlay, making them quicker to fit and more forgiving of minor subfloor imperfections — the DIY-friendly option.
